Well i have finaly got back to playing M.E 1
After all the excitment about Mass Effect 3 coming out i was very excited to start playing the first game in the series every one was raving about.
My first thoughts (and i am still very early on in the game) are that it is only so so .
let me first of all say: I rarly play rpg's. the last rpg i played was K.O.T.O.R 1 probably about 4-5 years ago. all i have been playing since are fps and the likes so thus is a new experience for me
i compleatly understand i am not far enough into it to pass judgment on it yet. The whole squad combat is confusing and im dont entirely understand it. you have team mates who follow you but are i do not understand what happens when they run out of health. its not directly explained... what i have gathered is that when you kill all the enamies in the area they stand back up on minimal health.
The whole power/ abilities sort of thing just seems clunky. To use your powers you have to hold space which pauses the game and kind of takes you out of the moment.
im enjoying the rpg aspects and cant say im not enjoying the game but i was definantly expecting more from it. I will keep playing as im interestred to see how it plays out. it kinda reminds me of Knights of the old republic.
what has anoyed me is the save points. Often (as i am still ajusting from my usual fps gaming style) i am dying and usualy in a fps you almost instantly respawn from your last checkpoint about 30 seconds earlier. In MA 1 often i would have a long distance to travle or a cutseen to watch before i got back to where i was before i died. That took alot of enjoyment out of my game
i have alot more MA 1 to play so i will keep you uptodate with how it goes. i have been very negative with what i have said here but i have still been enjoying it dispite my small problems with it. i am the type of person who will finish a game once i have started unless the game is truely woefull enough then i just ditch it asap.

Lets get this party started! |
ANYWAY, Lets get strightinto things. First of all, This Dota 2 Game. I Love valve, I love their games, and I must say im impressed with my first MOBA called Dota 2. However, as a n00b player, i can confirm for people like me who have never touched games like this... they are HARD. In dota 2, i kept on dying, didnt know how to use any items, failed as support and ultimatly didnt have as much fun as I thought (although i had quite a bit). But I loved the co-op mode, pretty much you a friends v bots. its amazing, just like any other co-op game. However, this is all i played and 'luckly' didnt go online as the community is rumoured to be hating people like me D:. So I'll just stick to bots and friends for now. Ok, I'll admit I raged every now and then, but I blame myself for going into this full on genre unprepared. When i pick it up in future, i'll be sure to study it like my economics and get good so i can fully appreciated it :D

Honesty is a Virtue |
So overall, I found it hard... but fun. Valve have done another master work (that appeals to others rather than myself) so when this releases as a free title (THATS RIGHt, FREE, THIS IS AMAZING), be sure to check it out!
Also recently, I must say, I have a new favourite game (not of all time, but close) is Saints Row: The Third. Everything about it is simply outstanding. The Combat is smooth, the driving is smoother, the customization is INSANE, the story is entertaining (makes you feel like a BOSS) and best of all, THE ENTIRE GAME IS CO-OP COMPATIBLE. THAT IS RIGHT, everything can be done with a friend. Which Im currently doing when i get free time! Im so glad I got this game, man, even just free-roaming with a friend is amazing, for example how I piss off a gang to distract them while he gets a chopper to destory their base and pick me up as we draw out an assassination target, and then CRASH THE HELICOPTER INTO HIM as we jump to safety in our well hidden boat and run away from the gang until their rage meter dies down. ALL OF THAT WAS NOT SCRIPTED, IT IS COMPLETELY POSSIBLE LITERALLY EVERYWHERE IN THE GAME. Its like your own action movie, where you decided what to do and when you do it, it is always awesome.

Not to mention this game is Hilarious! |
Finally, its time to get mildly serious. Ive finished Clannad, and by far, it is the saddest anime Ive ever watched, and officially the best as well!
Last time I saw you guys, I was just 10 episodes In and was on the verge of tears. 38 episodes later my jumper is soaked. This anime is made me laugh one second, and cry the next. Each scene was more beautiful than the last and I honestly loved the characters to death. Without spoiling much (serious GO WATCH IT ASAP), it wasn't the depressing scenes that saddened me the most, but it was this one scene near the end, filled with realization, regret and a new revival that made me burst out in tears... with a gigantic smile on my face. That scene that made me cry was not all that depressing, but compassionate. I truly enjoyed the sunflower scene the most, infact, that whole episode. After Tomoya and his daughter reunite. It touched me more than anything else ever has in the entertainment industry. Unlike Angel Beats, the ending was simply perfect. It was not sad, nor did it leave me feeling empty, but it was fulfilling, satisfying and brought me... again, to tears. I cannot comprehend how wonderful this anime is. So please, GO now and watch it. You will not regret it.

The most Beautiful Scene in Anime |
And you know what the best part is, Its not over. I'll admit while I am satisfied, i still want a little bit more clannad.... well... apparently there IS!. Not only where there 2 alternative universe episodes that showed the guy ending up with other girls (although Nagisa was the best, it was still entertaining to watch... and to dream) but not only that... Clannad is a Visual Novel... just like Katawa Shoujo, and it takes 300 hours to complete 100%... these feels...... 300 Hours of emotion, feels, plot, story, character development, fun and imagination WAITING FOR ME, and all of it rumored to be if not BETTER than Katawa Shoujo, the visual novel that also gave me similar feels. i want to play it, i need to play it, I cant actually comprehend after watching this life changing anime that SO MUCH MORE is waiting for me, highlighting the routes of the girls that where never explored (excluding the 2 alternative routes) in the anime (Kyou Especially).
FFS year 12 END ALREADY. I have so much waiting for me, including you guys and much more to come. My list of games, anime, manga, visual novels to run through is almost endless and it only encourages me to work even harder for these end of year exams and get a great score in the end. So until then, I'll be posting as often as I can, I do enjoy it, although sometimes I barley get round to getting on the computer let alone the blog or internet. Goodbye for now, my friends, and Remember; Love, Life, Peace, Prospes-GTFO THIS WEBSITE AND GO WATCH CLANNAD!!!! NOWAAWOOO!!!

Moa SteamPunk Epicness
Heya internet.
After the amount of interest my first steampunk post generated I decided to have a bit more of a look for what is actually out there.
One very useful site for people who are interested in getting into steampunky stuff is
it gives lots of information for those of us not in the know about what steampunk is, about the different fashions, history and more. It certainly helped me understand better.
If it’s the literature and stories that interest you then there’s stuff for you as well
There is a amazing series called leviathan trilogy of which I have read two out of three. They are really good books and I highly recommend them.
If you have the chance to read them I would as they are the best books I have read in a while.
Moving on to my next point book one of the leviathan series made it to 7th place on the top 25 steampunk books list here: http://vilutheril.com/2011/09/05/top-20-steampunk-books-an-introduction-to-the-genre/
It gives a basic plot summary and some other information about each one so it is a good place to go if you are craving some more great stories then that site is a must see.
Artists: there is some stuff here for you. There are many sites out there with steampunk artwork and directions of how to draw steampunk characters, machinery and more.
I didn’t have time to find many links for you people but I will for the next steampunk based post.
this one has some step by step images for how to draw a machine.
Finally, for all you gamers, if most of you haven’t heard BioShock Infinite
Here is some pics of what it will look like.
For more check out the site: www.bioshockinfinite.com
And marvel at awesomeness. It is one I am really excited for.
Any how folks
I hope you have enjoyed and found this steampunk packed post useful

Dead Frontier
I stumbled across this in browser zombie MMO RPG i think via a face book add, and am pleasantly surprised( considering face book adds are shit!)
You start off by selecting your characters looks, gender and profession, each profession has advantages and disadvantages. The athlete has greater stamina so can run for longer, the soldier has higher weapons skills and starts with a SMG, the fireman have a high immunity to fire and starts with a axe. stuff like that. I chose a police man which gave me higher shot gun skills and pistol training and meant i started with a shotgun.
Once you finish your character creation you start in the outpost. Which is a screen from were you can deposit money, get new equipment and other such things. You can also head out into the city were the real fun starts.
When you head out into the city the game play is similar to some thing like dead nation or alien swarm. A basic top down shooter.
as seen here
In game if you want to open your map( you also have a mini map in the corner of your screen) or inventory rather then just making you invaulrable or letting the zombies kill you as you stand there you have 10 seconds between you pressing the open button and it actually opening so you can’t just use it if your being mobbed by zombies. Once its open tho your character is set to AFK and is invaulrable while the menu is open.
There are many different types of zombies in the game ( most I haven’t met yet ) but the one I had trouble with was a flaming zombie. As I am a very low level at the moment( and maybe because I only played it yesterday) I don’t yet have the money to buy any guns that can take it down. Basically it is a fast zombie that is on fire, supposedly for some reason the fire causes the virus to repair damaged cells ( according 2 the wikia) so with my limited ammo and crappy guns I generally try to avoid places with it.
From what little I have played of the game it seems interesting. I will keep playing for a bit and see but I simply must explore some more of the Huge map( seriously it is BIG). it is here http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20110127194405/deadfrontier/images/6/6c/Krnellmap.png
