Portal 2 DLC on the way!

Steam/Portal 2 has updated to show us some excellent news, New support for upcoming updates in September... meaning that most likely there will be DLC and really soon!

As they went as far as making a whole update for supporting the DLC, could we see something completely new? I was expecting more map packs for co-op and advanced for single, but maybe its gonna be something completely new, who knows, i think i will love it anyway :)

Ain't That a Kick in the Head

Due to reasons i cannot mention, my steam has been reset, my whole computer was almost, but i managed to minimize the damage to steam

This means I've just lost all 200GB of my games

But i have all 400GB backed up on my external harddrive (phew)

So as sadly as it seems, i wont be playing any game any time soon, i have to reinstall all my games from my harddrive, (better than downloading them again i guess), but i am still extremely pissed....

Well, I'll let you know when I've at least got my favorites reinstalled, but apart from that, all my games are... gone...

Dead space 2: reminiscing

Sigh
i recently got back into dead space 2 and almost jumped for joy when i found my self standing once again on the old deck where you first enter the USG Ishimura.
as i walked through the familiar once blood soaked halls which were now clean and covered with patching plastic i found it really chilling even though nothing has jumped out at me yet i am still quite nervous just remembering the events that occurred there all those many years ago.

am really enjoying it and will keep you up to date

till then

Agreed Opinions; Retails vs Digital

After reading the current article, Which is mainly about retails vs digital stores, and how retail hate steam for beating them in pc sales yet all this time that gamestop and other retails have abused pc gaming badley. THe result is sad, such as the removal of awesome A+ pc games from their stores, such as Deus-ex human revolution. Read the infomative article below to find out more (trust me, pc gamer is wayyyy better than me at reporting, all credit to them)

http://www.pcgamer.com/2011/08/25/deus-ex-human-revolution-pulled-from-gamestop-shelves-over-onlive-codes/

After reading, I must say, i fully agree with these two comments: (make swure you read the article and get a general understanding of this debate for yourself)

ALERT FOR THOSE WHO CANT READ *cough* cleft *cough* THESE ARENT MY COMMENTS, BUT I HEAVILY AGREE WITH THEM

(awesome comment) By Cataclysmic
"You know what I say to GAME UK and the rest? FUCK YOU.
YOU started this, YOU marginalised PC games, YOU took away their shelf space and shoved them into a tiny corner of a store, YOU charged silly and frankly uncompetitive prices for them, now YOU have to take the consequences.
I will NEVER purchase a game from GAME UK again - if I want to buy a game I get it from Amazon or Steam. Steam is holding PC gaming together, proving a community for the players and a very convenient store service. If stores like Gamestop and Game hadn't chucked PC games onto a tiny shelf in a dark corner of the shop when Xbox 360 and PS3 came out then they wouldn't be in this position. Instead this just seems like they're unhappy that another system is selling PC games in a far more effective way than they are.
FUCK YOU Gamestop, and FUCK YOU Game UK."

(another amazing comment) By rupok93
"gamestop should just die and I can't believe that in the UK retailers can hold off games being released on steam. That is just outrageous. All these companies like gamestop abandoned PC games when xbox and ps3 came out. We were shunned as a market cause of our size. Valve comes in and revolutionizes pc gaming believing in the market all these years and its cause of them that pc gaming is growing exponentially today and it is what it is. Now these companies wanna come in to take some of the pie. FUCK THEM! GAMESTOP and all these asshole stores, I am not buying crap from you, including origin and impulse. BF3 I bought from D2d so origin can suck it, I still have to use origin but they didn't get as much of the pie as they could have if i bought from origin. Right now the only respectable digital services, are direct2drive, greenmangaming, steam and GOG. All the others can suck it. Don't think we are like console gamers that we buy into anything. You can shove off and get out of market cause steam and few good digital services is all we need. Services like impulse and origin are now just getting in the way. Who are they to come into this market and act like the big guys when they are newcomers hoping to get the extra cash and nothing else?"

These guys are legends! PC gaming is not dead, steam is the best thing to happen to pc gaming, so yes, retail, eat sh!t and die!

Dead Spaceifying my computer

Just so you people know, ever since I got my new computer I had the Alienguise alienware theme on my computer. Its cool but it got a little old. I was looking for some thing game related and found some awesome stuff.

I found a dead space 2 desktop theme here :
it is really cool as it has lots of really awesome desktop backgrounds , includes some DS2 icons and has creepy sound effects when you do certain things.
It looks like this :
Next one is a chrome theme. Its fairly basic but still looks cool. If you want to download it then click the link below

Now the final one I found is a reel cool one, it’s a dead space hallucinationscreensave that includes the dead space font that can be used in word
it looks like this  but it moves and does cool shit
that weird shit is  weird sound effect and  Nicole appearing at random. Unfortunately it does still have some bugs but they will be worked out eventually.

These 3 things are all must haves if ur tired of your boring old desktop. Anyway that’s all from me for now

earthQUAKE'd my savings and that better gaming computer

Quakecom has started, and its all good, personally because i live on the other side of  the world i can experience it for myself D:
But, as always, steam is there to cheer me up and this time, with the QUAKE COM SALE!

To make a long story short, i bought it and saved a woopin $500! I also got a few games i was hoping to get soon such as limbo, from dust and dead island (if i get any time to ever play these that is)!

For now, the sales are awesome! This is probably the best pack since the valve pack, so if you've got $70 to spend, nows the time!

On a sadder note, i have decided to put my goal aside of buying a new huge better gaming computer, this is because of my decision that my biggest school year is just around the corner, meaning i will be studying so hard it will kill me! A gaming computer would be a big distraction, even so, if i did study like im going to, i would have barley any time to use it. So i have decided to (still save a lot of money), but use it on the wonderful games that i keep buying because i can play these games on my current (oh-kay) computer, and they are better than getting another computer that could just run them slightly better.

Looks like i will have to play battlefield 3 on low..... if its on steam that is -_-
